1400 | Fun with Shapes

This assignment requires you to create a variety of shapes and colors.  Using the pen tool, you are to draw your first and last name as shapes.  Each letter should have a 5 point black outline and one of at least 5 fill colors.  Do not simply draw lines. The shapes must be complete and have curves associated with it.  I will be looking at craft, and following the instructions.

The second part of this assignment requires you to execute a self portrait in illustrator.  You may trace a scanned image or digital photo but the final image must have no fewer than 10 shapes, no more than 50.  You are allowed a maximum of five colors to complete the image.   I will be looking at craft, following instructions recognizability (if you are in the campus section of 1400).  See sample below.

My campus section of 1400 must submit this, printed on letter size paper, in class, on Wed, February 9th at 8:15 am.

My online section of 1400 must email this file as an illustrator file no later than Friday, February 11th by 11:59 pm.  (send image as attachment to hfullmer@uvu.edu)

Any late work will have 30% deducted from the grade.  Good luck and have fun!
